The item is included in a collection of stage costumes worn by the late King of Pop which will go under the hammer at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills, California on December 2, says People.com, with the proceeds going towards Guide Dogs of America and the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.

Other garments in the collection – which is to be showcased as part of a ‘world tour’ starting at the Museo de la Moda in Santiago, Chile tomorrow (May 18) before stopping off in other locations throughout South America, the US, Asia and Europe – include jackets he sported in performances of ‘Bad’ and ‘Beat It’, custom-made shirts and a gold belt.

A spokesperson for Julien’s Auctions said: ”There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was a global fashion icon as well as award winning and beloved musician.

“His wardrobe dictated many of the styles throughout the last few decades. Jackson played a very intimate role in the designs and completion of every costume and piece of clothing he wore both on stage and in his personal life.”

In December last year, an auction of Jackson’s personal belongings raised nearly $1million (£643,000) at auction. Big-sellers included a blackboard scrawled with his daughter Paris’ handwriting: “I love daddy, smile it’s for free, love Paris,” which fetched $5,000 (£3,200), and a mirror on which the singer had written “Train perfection March, April full out May,” in the build-up to his planned London comeback gigs, which sold for $25,750 (£16,560).

Speaking on Radio 4′s Today show, the TV mogul said that he didn’t understand why the BBC talent show – which was previously locked in a ratings battle with his ITV venture Britain’s Got Talent – was on television instead of the radio.

“That show [The Voice] puzzles me because it starts off and ‘it’s all about the voice’,” he said. “So my first thought is, ‘Why isn’t this on radio?’ because what’s the point in looking at them. Then suddenly I’m watching it a week or two weeks ago and it’s the same as The X Factor. They’ve got dancers behind them, graphics, lights. Same show.”

He went on to add: I see a lot of shows trying to rip us off. If you try and rip somebody off it always looks like a bad copy.
Earlier this month (May 5), it was reported that Cowell was in secret talks with the BBC, to discuss the possibility of leaving ITV for the rival broadcaster to work on a drama series.

The singer, who is famous for hit singles including ‘I Feel Love’, ‘Love To Love You Baby’ and ‘Hot Stuff’, died this morning (May 17) in Florida after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Kylie Minogue, Moby, Belle & Sebastian, La Roux, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nile Rodgers of Chic and drummer Sheila E were some of the many stars to pay homage to the star, who passed away at the age of 63.

The snap, taken by late photographer Iain Macmillan, shows the band walking right to left across the zebra crossing outside the London studio where they made their 1969 album – the opposite direction to the picture which made it onto the sleeve.

There are other notable differences, including the fact Paul McCartney is wearing sandals rather than walking with bare feet. The cigarette he’s holding on the album version is also missing.

The print, which is among a set of 25 being sold by a private collector, is going under the hammer later this month, with viewings starting this Friday (May 18).

Beatles artefacts regularly fetch big prices at auctions – last year a document showing how the Fab Four refused to play to segregated crowds was sold for $23,000 (£14,407).

Speaking to The Mercury, Andrew Hogan, education director of the Optometrists Association of Tasmania, said: If a young emo chap has a fringe covering one eye all the time, that eye won’t see a lot of detail. And if it happens from a young age, that eye can become amblyotic.
Amblyotic is the medical term for lazy eye syndrome. It is thought that the most vulnerable age for the development of vision is from birth to seven years, but new research has suggested that vision can still be affected after this age.

Hogan’s claims have been refuted by Stateside doctors, with Dr Leonard Press of New Jersey stating to MSNBC: “The story would only be true if you had somebody young enough, and if that person never looked out of that eye – if it was blocked 24/7. The reason it’s false is that you don’t have that constant deprivation.”

The Tottenham-born songstress has enjoyed phenomenal success since the release of her second album ’21′, which has sold over 4 million copies and overtook Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ in the UK’s all-time biggest selling albums list earlier this month (May 3).

But in an interview for US TV channel NBC, the star – who was named as the UK’s richest musician under 30 earlier this week (May 12) – said she that she is only interested in singing and that being famous was irrelevant to her.

She said: I don’t want to be a celebrity. I don’t want to be in people’s faces.
She went on to add: “I’ve managed to stay out of the public eye. The other day I walked through Trafalgar Square on a Sunday afternoon, a tourist haven. I was a bit worried. I was in my pyjamas as well because I had been working the day before. [But] nobody recognised me. A couple of pooled looked round, but like ‘What would she be doing walking through Trafalgar Square in pyjamas?’”

The New York Post reports that Manhattan judge Charles Ramos has given software developer Gate Five the go-ahead to proceed with their lawsuit against the ’4′ superstar, after she allegedly pulled out of a deal to create a motion sensing computer game.

Gate Five took legal action last year when they claimed the singer had backed out of a $20 million (£12. 4 million) agreement to feature in Starpower: Beyonce. Beyonce’s lawyers argued that she was entitled to walk away as the company hadn’t finalised its financial agreements, but Gate Five insisted that she had chosen to abandon the project on December 6 2010, even though she knew they were set to sign a funding deal three days later.

Beyonce could now face a date in court after Ramos ruled that the lawsuit should go ahead, as she should have given the company notice of her decision before she withdrew. The lawyer for Gate Five, who claim they were forced to fire 70 employees after the bungled deal, said he was “pleased” with the decision, while representatives for Beyonce declined to comment.

In February this year, it was reported that Beyonce was working on two new albums. The singer and her husband Jay-Z welcomed their first child Blue Ivy Carter into the world in January of this year. The following month (February 8), it was reported that the couple applied to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on January 26 to own her name.

The team, founded by Brian Higgins, are famed for writing and producing tracks for Kylie Minogue, Sugababes and The Saturdays. They are best-known for writing all of the Girls Aloud albums including hits ‘The Promise’ and ‘Something Kinda Ooooh’.

The news of the pop group reuniting with Brian Higgins and his team to work on new material was announced on Twitter yesterday (May 12). However, Xenomania have since deleted their Tweets.

Digital Spy report that one Tweet read: “New GA sessions with @NicolaRoberts @KimberleyJWalsh @SarahNicHarding in the studio over the last week.”

Despite trying to cover up their announcement by deleting their Tweets, it seems they forgot to inform Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, who retweeted one of the updates.
